What A Weekend It Has Been in the Sporting World! From Manchester United’s Draw with Chelsea to Max Verstappen Taking His WDC Title Back.

The 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix is definitely going to be one of the most notable events in this year’s season. Packed with plenty of rain and an overwhelming amount of DNFs, this is going to be one of our most thrilling articles to date! As well as this electrifying Grand Prix, we also experienced a nail-biting football match between Manchester United and Chelsea. So, let’s catch you up to speed.

Manchester United vs Chelsea – Premier League Match

As the full-time whistle blown, it was a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Chelsea. With brilliant goals scored from Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes during a penalty and Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo scoring just 4 minutes later, it was one of the more action-packed football matches of the weekend.

There were several yellow cards handed out this game, six to Manchester United and two to Chelsea.

The man of the match was given to none other than Noussair Mazraoui. This is the first time Noussair has been given this award since he joined the team in the summer.

These two teams are currently standing in 4th (Chelsea) and 13th place (Manchester United) on the Premier League table.

Max Verstappen Takes Victory in Brazil!

What a race day it was on Sunday! If you would have told us about these race results at the start of the season, we would be simply shocked! It was a very slippery track at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace and after 5 DNFs, a time penalty or two, and a very surprising podium, Netflix are going to have a field day in the next series of Drive to Survive!

This podium is below:

1st Place: Max Verstappen

2nd Place: Esteban Ocon

3rd Place: Pierre Gasly

This comes as a huge shock due to the current championship battle between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, but after Max’s recent win, this has compromised most chances of Lando winning the WDC 2024, but it is not completely out of the question yet.

The current WDC standings are:

1st Place: Max Verstappen with 393 points

2nd Place: Lando Norris with 331 points

3rd Place: Charles Leclerc 307 points
